Year 7 Visit Stanley Head

At the beginning of their journey through the Academy all Year 7 students were involved in a fun filled, team building day run by Mrs Garrity at Staffordshire University and an activitity day at Stanley Head. Students took part in a number of activities which included challenges such as river crossing, tear & share, and multi skills tasks. They learnt many team building skills, and learnt a lot about their own abilities in outdoor education.

Students participated in numerous activities at Stanley Head such as; Archery, Kayaking, raft building, High wire adventures, rock climbing and abseiling.

This allowed the students to make new friends, bond with people in the same teaching group, experience new challenges, and feel more confident and comfortable with starting their life  at the Academy.

Mrs Berrisford, Community Leader for Endeavour, said "We had an amazing couple of days with the Year 7 students. It is all about building up their confidence, learning who it is they will be working with during their time at the Academy and also it's about having fun. Everyone had a great time and it kick started the year."
