Gradbach Geography Trip
16 students from Year 9 visited Gradbach for a one night residential in the Peak District National Park.
The aim of this experience is for the students to understand the physical and human characteristics of the Peak District National Park.
Students investigated the human conflicts that exist when trying to protect an area of outstanding natural beauty. A river survey was also completed.
Places visited were the Roaches, the River Churnet, Luds Church and the Black Forest.
The outcome of the trip was to equip the students with the necessary skills to pass their geography GCSE in an environment that was fun, engaging and real.
