6 Towns Residential

On Thursday 5th and Friday 6th September, twenty of our Year 11 students attended a residential experience at Staffordshire University on the Stafford campus.

During their two days they interacted with students from other local high schools and academies, and student ambassadors from the university. Students experienced both the academic and social aspects of higher education, and participated in lectures on topics such as music technology, health, and media studies. They also participated in team building activities such as sport and designing the costume and advertisement for a new super-hero character.

"We need to prepare all our students for Higher Education. That transition is very important. It is experiences like this that will shape decisions in the next few years. We had a great time, they really showed how creative they can be but also how logical. Everyone understood the value of what they were doing." said Mr Hall, Vice-Principal
