Co-operative Young Leaders

Year 3 and Year 4 classes from Etruscan Primary School have been working with our Co-operative Young ICT leaders. Every Friday morning the leaders have delivered a lesson based upon the Scratch programme and pupils at Etruscan are loving the lessons .Leaders plan the lessons the work before and their aim is to ensure that all pupils are at a level where they can play their Scratch game that they have created in the lessons.

Daniel Humphries “ Etruscan primary school pupils are  really enjoying the lessons and have  picked up the skills needed to create a game very quickly. We award certificates for 100% effort at the end of every lesson.”

On Friday the 11th October the newly trained Year 8 Sports Leaders  organised and delivered their very first sports festival. The festival  was very well attended with 87 Year 5  pupils  participating. The festival involved multi skills activities and  leaders  planned their own stations , created posters  for their stations and also  planned  specific multi sports activities. There were 11 stations and the primary pupils really had a great afternoon.  Mill Hill Primary School, John Baskeyfield Primary School and St. Marys CE Primary School attended the afternoon of sport.

Mustafa Hussain  Year 8 CYL “ It was brilliant  I really enjoyed teaching the younger pupils and they were really enthusiastic”. “I cant wait to do it again”
