MPs Visit for STEM

MPs Tristram Hunt and Joan Walley visited the Co-operative Academy to watch activities promoting science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) education. The session saw the politicians examine projects built by students. They even had a go in the Academy's Greenpower Car.

Martin Ebsworth, head of science and technology at the Academy, said: "It was a very good visit, and we demonstrated what the school does to promote STEM education."

The Academy have been working on STEM projects with local companies KMF and Michelin and the students enjoyed a track day after spending months developing a Greenpower Car.
